Though most Upper Peninsula residents have some level of appreciation for the snow, the recreation opportunities it affords, and the season of winter in general (it does take over our region for nearly 5 months after all!), not everyone is willing to schedule their wedding in a month where the average temperature is 20 degrees. Saying “I do” at the beginning of January in this Northern town takes a special, adventurous and incredibly close couple who is prepared to put their relationship first, make decisions that suit them, and who isn’t afraid of the challenges life may present them. Marie Kelsey’s 2019 wedding season kicked off on the second official day of summer with an incredible couple. Mike and Sarah traveled to Marquette, Michigan to be married in front of their friends and family on a perfect June Saturday. The couple and many of their guests traveled from great distances – Washington, D.C.; Colorado; Texas; Virginia; Wisconsin and more. It was so special to have so many guests from all over the country venture to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to support the couple as they said, “I do.”
