This summer has been crazy busy. Between photographing a half dozen weddings, raising two little kiddos, working full time, Rick changing jobs and all of the other things life has thrown at us, for some crazy reason, we decided to sell our home and buy a new one. We’re definitely insane, right?
Despite all of the stress buying, selling and moving caused us over the past few months, it was so worth it. We finally feel settled in our new Negaunee home and are loving making new memories in this special place.
If you’re ever in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in mid-August and looking for a great day trip, the sunflower field at Hall Farms is a must-see. With over 400,000 sunflowers, free admission (donations requested) and the ability to cut your own flowers, this place is truly a treat.
At the beginning of December, my little family of three became a family of four when we welcomed our precious baby girl, Annabelle Marie, into the world. These are our first official family photos – so many thanks to my sister for stepping behind my camera to grab these images!
Even though I primarily shoot weddings and engagements, capturing growing families is one of my absolute favorite things to do! I was blessed to spend Sunday morning with this adorable little man, Orrin Henry, and his two incredible parents. Megan and Andrew have been dear friends of mine for many years, and when Megan asked me if I would take newborn photos of their brand new man, I seriously could not have been more excited! Not only was I thrilled to get to meet (and hold and snuggle!) the new little mister, but I couldn’t wait to see the nursery she had been working on in person.
