I love not only photographing weddings, engagements and portrait sessions, but telling the wonderfully beautiful love stories of each and every one of my clients. Enjoy!
Before I jump into all of the spooky and wonderful Halloween-specific details, I first have to start with the bride and groom. I seriously cannot say enough about this couple.
In the short time that I’ve gotten to know Brittany, I’ve come to see firsthand what an incredible human being she is. It’s no wonder her groom pursued her for years! As soon as she arrived the morning of her wedding, she went above and beyond to take care of everyone else in the room. From zipping her bridesmaids into their dresses, pinning on boutonnieres, styling her son’s hair and even bringing me a GIFT (which she totally didn’t have to do!), she showered everyone who was a part of her wedding day with so much love.
There’s so much I could say about Matt as well. Once you get past his tough-guy demeanor, he is seriously such a kind-hearted, fun and loving person. It’s so apparent in the way he looks at Brittany that he is head-over-heels for her. And the way he is with his son Dantae truly melted my heart. Brittany has definitely found herself one incredible guy to share the rest of her life with!
And the DÉCOR! Brittany had a stunning bouquet of black calla lilies and deep red roses that popped so well against her gorgeous white lace gown. The bridesmaids wore full-length black lace dresses and carried lanterns down the aisle. The groomsmen were also dressed in all black, and her FIVE adorable flower girls (yes, five flower girls 😍) each had her own cauldron of leaves.

The reception was filled with life-sized skeletons, witch hats hanging from the ceiling, and two massive stone fireplaces clad with a variety of jack-o-lanterns. Skull glass mugs adorned the head table for the wedding party to enjoy their favorite beverages, spider webs accented their two-tier wedding cake, and the guest tables were filled with hundreds of white and gold pumpkins.

The wonderful bride and groom continued their thoughtfulness throughout the day, and for the first time in my wedding history (and perhaps the first time in all of wedding history!), we were done with all of the “formalities” of the reception (speeches, dinner, first dances, bouquet toss, etc.) before SEVEN O’CLOCK! It was seriously unbelievable. The couple just wanted to ensure that all of their guests had the best time possible at their celebration, so they moved everything along efficiently and quickly to get to the dancing! It was incredible to not only be on schedule, but to be ahead of schedule!Brittany and Matt, I feel so honored and blessed to not only have been given the opportunity to capture your big day, but to have been able to get to know you as people. You are both such unique, incredible and fun-loving individuals, and it was my privilege to get to serve you. Thank you A MILLION TIMES for allowing me to be a part of your love story and incredibly special wedding celebration. I wish you all the happiness life can bring you in your lives together as husband and wife!
