I’ve been looking forward to last weekend’s wedding for as long as I can remember for SO many reasons. The bride (whose name is also Kelsey!) and I have been friends for many years. We knew each other long before we ever met our now husbands. We went to school together, were counselors at summer camps together, and worked together at the local YMCA. I can honestly say she is one of the kindest, most loving people I’ve ever been lucky enough to have in my life!
It’s so very special to me that I got to be a part of her and DJ’s wedding celebration this past weekend. From Kelsey’s outspoken and warm personality, to DJ’s calm and affectionate demeanor, it was such a blessing to get to witness them say their vows to one another in front of their family and friends. (a LOT of friends and family!!)
“THERE WAS SO MUCH THOUGHTFULNESS AND LOVE IN EVERY ASPECT OF THE DAY.”
There was so much thoughtfulness and love in every aspect of the day. (basically making it a photographer’s dream!) Custom cuff links and bracelets with photos of deceased loved ones, another set of cuff links with the finger prints of the bride’s beloved grandfather, a journal from the groom to the bride with pages upon pages of
reasons why he loves her, a framed letter from sister to sister, and MORE. It. was. remarkable. And not only did I tear up multiple times during the day as I witnessed the gift-giving and love-sharing unfold, but I did AGAIN (several times) as I was editing the images. It was serious happy-tear overload in the best way possible.
Kelsey and DJ, thank you a million times for allowing me to capture your beautiful day! I had an amazing time with you two, your incredible bridal party, and your family and friends. I hope you treasure the photos from your wedding for many, MANY years to come!
