Stanley, a 14 year old Yorkie Poo, was a faithful and loving friend to Alyssa and her family for the better part of her life. On September 2, 2016, the Erspamers bid farewell to their longtime canine pal. I was fortunate enough to capture Stan’s last evening with his caregivers in some of his favorite locals, doing what he loved to do most. There were so many snuggles, kisses and loving interactions between the playful pooch and the people he loved most on this final night.
We started the evening at the Erspamer home where I was able to capture a few candids of him and his humans. As we walked down 3rd Street, Stan met several new friends and generated dozens of smiles; one of his specialties. He enjoyed his very first ice cream cone from Frosty Treats, which left him licking his lips for a better part of the evening.Alyssa dressed Stan up in one of his many outfits for some added laughter from the family. He was less than impressed to be wearing his chicken costume! For our last stop of the night, we visited the beach. Stanley relished in the cool waters of Lake Superior and ran up and down the beach next to Alyssa one last time. “He loves to run!” she explained. I think he would’ve ran up and down the shores all night if we would have let him!
Stanley, you were an amazing dog, friend and spirit. Your memory will always be cherished by the many lives you touched.
